INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

Cooperative Republic of Guyana

GUYANA MARKETINGCORPORATION

1. The New Guyana Marketing Corporation invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the PHASE 2:UPGRADINGOF THE PARIKA PACKAGING FACILITY INTO AGRO-PROCESSING DEMONSTRATION FACILITY, REGION NO. 3

2. The delivery/construction period is Three (3) Months.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures, specified in the Procurement Act 2003.

4. Qualification requirements include:

a) Completion of at least one (1) job of a similar nature.

b) Valid NIS, GRA, VAT and TIN Compliance Certificates

c)  Bid Security - $250,000.00 – shall be in the form of a Bank Guarantee or a Bond from a recognized Insurance Agency

5. A complete set of bid document may be obtained at a non-refundable cost of G$3000 for each bidding document. The commencement date for the purchase of bid documents is February 7, 2018, from 8:30 hours to 16:00 hours on Mondays to Thursdays and from 8:30 hours  to 15:00 hours on Fridays at Guyana Marketing Corporation, Robb and Alexander Streets, Georgetown, Guyana

6. The budget for this job is G$16.5Million Guyana Dollars.

7. Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.

8. Pre- Bid Meeting and Site Visit will occur on Friday February 16, 2018at 10:00 hrs at Parika Packaging Facility.

9. Bids must be delivered to the address below and placed in the tender box before 9:00 hours on February 27, 2018.  Bids will be opened physically in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 9:00 hours on February 27, 2018.
